Hello from London!
We have been spending the last couple of days in the UK visiting friends and family and adore the buzz and possibilities of the city! Covent Garden is one of my favourite places in London for all the culture, shopping, food and scenery. I especially love the decor they put up whenever a holiday is approaching. This time we found some cute flowery benches for Valentine’s Day all over the piazza and naturally had to stop for a couple of photos.

As you can imagine, the weather in London in February is pretty cold 😉 My big teddy coat paired with a junky black knit, black pants and velvet boots kept me warm all day and ready to brave the rain! I also wore my wool beret, my sister brought from Paris years ago and added a small Liebeskind Berlin bag.

Covent Garden has so much to offer! Here are my three favourite things to do there:

1. See a show
It’s no secret that London’s Westend is one of the best places to see a new musical, play or show. There is always something exciting to see and many genres to choose from. A great way to buy tickets is the TodayTix app. This makes it easy to find the shows that are on and offers great prices on the tickets that are still available. You can buy all cards directly on the app. The theater will keep them for you at the box office, until you pick them up.

  • My all-time favourite musicals are Wicked, Kinky Boots and 42nd Street – drama, fun, glitter and lots of music and dance.
(This post is not sponosred by TodayTix, I just really enjoy their service.)

2. Do some shopping
Whether you like to shop for makeup, fashion or lifestyle – Covent Garden seems to have it all. Not only can you find big international labels in that area, there are also lots of cute little independent shops and boutiques. It is also a lovely alternative to the crowded Oxford and Regent Street! Here is a list of beautiful stores you will love:

  • Makeup & Skincare: Chanel, Dior, The Ordinary/Deciem, Charlotte Tilbury, Burberry, Aesop, Nars & more!
  • Lifestyle: Kikki.K. (read all about it HERE), Diptique, Sass & Belle (I wrote about it HERE), Paperchase, Muji
  • Fashion: TK Maxx, Monica Vinader Jewellery, Kate Spade, Radley

3. Enjoy the architecture and art
The piazza in front of Covent Garden is a magnet for street performers like singers, jugglers and painters. I highly recommend wandering off into the side streets around Covent Garden to find cute pubs, cafés and architectural features.

  • Beautiful buildings like Somerset House (hello Fashionweek!) and the Royal Opera house (they have great prices at the box office!),
  • museums and galleries like the National Gallery and the British Museum
  • as well as lots of street performers are all around the corner.

1. Eine Show ansehen

  • Makeup & Hautpflege: Chanel, Dior, The Ordinary/Deciem, Charlotte Tilbury, Burberry, Aesop, Nars & viele mehr!
  • Lifestyle: Kikki.K.
  • Mode: TK Maxx, Monica Vinader Jewellery, Kate Spade, Radley

  17. February 6, 2018 / 12:31 AM

That archway is such a perfect spot for photos! We loved watching the street performers there when we were in London this past spring. There was this great Charlie Chaplin performer.

  18. February 6, 2018 / 12:03 AM
